I recommend these services to families (specifically new families and teens), who want help along their way of getting to know themselves as new parents.
As a postpartum doula, I am not taking over the care of the baby, but through education and support I:
-teach how to take care of the newborn,
-help new parents to become confident with their decisions,
-assist parents to find their own way of nurturing and
-support with newborn-parent bonding.
I provide daytime (8am-8pm), overnight (8pm-8am) and 24 hour* shifts at different rates. You can book my services from a minimum of 4hours/daytime and minimum of 8hours/nighttime to up to 12hours shifts.
My services include, but not limited to:
-Free interview via phone, facetime or in person
-Prenatal visit (usually 2-3hours long) to discuss your specific needs on my support and where I may start my work giving out useful lists of postpartum related topics
-Support in recovery from birth and allowing mother to take care of herself
-Education and support in newborn care: diapering, feeding, swaddling, bathing, soothing...)
-Light housekeeping, baby's laundry, grocery shopping, running errands
-Light cooking
-Screening for postpartum mood disorders
-Helps to adjust the siblings and the pets with the new family member
-Referrals to community resources
-Helps mother to maintain her healthy nutrition intake
-Do NOT evaluate baby's or mother's medical condition
*24 hours services available in the first 2 weeks after birth, or due to special medical conditions and every shift must follow a minimum of 12 hours break for the doula
